Great news, you guys! I just got a off the phone (well, iPhone facetime video chat, to be perfectly honest) with David Remneck, editor of The New Yorker magazine. He informed me that my submission for this week’s cartoon caption contest was chosen the winner!!! Not only that, but he said Seymore Hersh picked it out himself!
As you probably already know, this is the fifth time this year that I’ve won the cartoon caption contest. I am the first to ever accomplish this feat, which is an honor I do not take lightly. I am forever thankful to Mr. Remnick, Mr. Hersh, the rest of the staff at The New Yorker, all the fabulous cartoonists who provide the inspiring artwork, my parents, my friends, and, most of all, God.
Sorry if I’m rambling. I’m just a little emotional right now. Trying to savor every moment.
ANYWAY, time to get back to work! Maybe I can win one or two more before 2011! LOL!
